Notice from Head of Classification, Amy Bohn:

The new rule that WWR Classification supersedes USWRA classification began last season (2021-2022).  As a result, there was a retirement period prior to 2021-2022 season.  Due to some athletes not being with teams/active or access to information, there will be another retirement period prior to the 2022-2023 season.

  • If a player would like to retire from international play and thus be dropped from the WWR Masterlist, please contact the Head of Classification by email (classification@uswra.org) by September 2, 2022.

  • Once you have contacted the Head of Classification, a confirmation email will be sent to you that your name will be on the list that is sent to Gregg (Head of classification WWR) to be dropped from the WWR Master list. Thus, the player will be able to play with USWRA classification.

If you plan on retiring, please read below – you will be asked to acknowledge that you are retiring in good faith:

If the athlete retires, it needs to be in good faith that he/she is truly retiring from international play, not a way to get around the new rule of WWR classification voids USWRA.

If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please reach out to Amy Bohn at classification@uswra.org
