The USWRA is excited to announce the Executive Director - Michael Klonowski

Over the past year, the United States Wheelchair Rugby Association (USWRA) Board of Directors has worked diligently with a search committee, processed applications, completed multiple interviews, and narrowed the selection to the top two candidates. The USWRA Board of Directors is pleased to announce Michael Klonowski as the new Executive Director of the USWRA.

Michael has served as secretary on the USWRA’s Board of Directors for the past six years and has made countless contributions to the Board and the sport.  Michael will officially take office in August.

In his new role as Executive Director, Michael will report to the USWRA Board of Directors.  Priorities for the first year will be fundraising, building connections with key donors, and bringing awareness to the sport.  The USWRA Board of Directors has plans to expand the USWRA, and to be able to expand the USWRA, the fundraising that Michael will be doing is critical. The USWRA Board of Directors thanks Michael for his service on the Board and looks forward to his work as the Executive Director of the USWRA.

With his new role, Michael will be stepping down as Secretary of the USWRA. The USWRA Board of Directors will appoint a new Secretary to serve the remaining year, until next year’s Annual General Meeting, where the membership will vote on a new Secretary of the USWRA Board of Directors.
