Let's Meet Jeremy Hannaford!

Let’s get to know the USA Low Point Wheelchair Rugby Team athletes! First, let’s meet Jeremy Hannaford – Jeremy started his path in rugby after meeting Paralympian Lynn Nelson and watching Murderball. He’s won numerous Best of Class Awards, including MVP at the Portland Invitational (2018) and Best 1.0 in D2 at USWRA National Championships in 2022 and in D1 in 2016. His most memorable moments include making it to the D1 National Championship game in 2016 and making the USA Low Point Wheelchair Rugby Team Training Squad. Both are very special, but Jeremy loves the rush of pride that comes with representing his country. Early in his rugby career, Jeremy was shooting for making the USAWR Team, however, after coaching and playing more with his club team, he loves being able to make a positive impact on his teammates and influencing players across the country. The greatest challenge he’s faced, has come in the past few years with some medical issues that limited his rugby training and ability to compete. However, now he's 100% again and is looking for GOLD at the World Games 2022!
