At the Oscar Mike Foundation's 10 Year Anniversary Ball on the evening of November 12th, 2021, the Oscar Mike Foundation, re-upped its commitment to the USWRA by making a 150k donation. The Oscar Mike Militia, the USWRA rugby team that represents the foundation, presented the check to USWRA Secretary, Michael Klonowski, at the event. Tim Vixay, the head coach of Oscar Mike Militia explained how rugby has changed the lives of him and others on the team and that this money will go towards an organization to enrich the lives of other individuals playing the sport now and in the future. The donation is earmarked for paying the salary of the USWRA's first paid employee, an Executive Director, whose job it will be to fundraise for the league and manage league operations. The donation will also go towards funding the USWRA's first international competition squad since Team Force, the USWRA Low-Point Team. Secretary Michael Klonowski, thanked the team, the members of the Oscar Mike Foundation and those who made the donation possible, at the ball. The league looks forward to using this money to make the league more sustainable and stronger for generations to come.
