Ceruti was injured in a high school football game at the age of 15 in 1980. He found wheelchair rugby while the sport was still in its infancy during the late-‘80s. He’s now been involved in the sport for nearly 30 years as a club team member and organizer, national team member, USQRA board member,  and head coach at the club team level as well as an assistant coach to the US National Team.

As a player and now a coach, he’s poured into the lives of his teammates and now the players he coaches as a successful example of living life as a quadriplegic. His passion for, and knowledge of, the game is unmatched. He one of the most, if not the most, the longest tenured league member in consecutive years as a player and now a coach.
